A group of junior students have been voluntarily meeting every Wednesday at 7:00a.m. to improve their vocabulary, practice time management, and fine-tune their knowledge in preparation for the ACT and life beyond high school. We are proud of the dedication and extra mile that Wildcats go to prepare for a bright future! "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." -Pele

In Mrs. Keenan's class, students are recognizing their feelings using their friends, the color spots. Each color represents a feeling, yellow is happiness, red is mad, orange is confidence, etc. Each spot has a book to help us understand that feeling and how to manage the emotion in a positive way.

Congratulations to the 5th grade, fastest class of La Farge Elementary! Each quarter, grades 1-5 run as many laps in 5 minutes as they can. Then we divide the number of laps ran, by the number of students in the class for their lap average. The 5th graders came out on top and get to display the Fastest Class trophy in their classroom for this quarter.

Today the 7th-12th grade classes were treated to a special guest, alumni Austin Conley. Austin is currently enlisted in the United States Marines and working as part of the HMX-1squad. (Marine Helicopter Squadron 1) He spoke with the students about how important it is to follow your dreams no matter how big they may be, and that regardless of how small of town you may come from anything is possible. We’re so very proud of the young man Austin has become and proud to say he’s a Wildcat!
