Mr. Chroninger's Social Studies classes have been following Mr. Tincher on his South American travels. Mr. Tincher has been sending photos and information about the places he is visiting. Students have been using Google Earth to explore the locations in more detail. Students have also been figuring out how many miles he has traveled. It has been fun to have such a world traveler share his journey.
Community members are invited to join middle and high school staff and students for local author John Armbruster's presentation and discussion of his award-winning book, Tailspin, on Thursday, March 7 in the gym. Please join us to learn about this fascinating World War II survival story. The author will be available for book signing for those interested.

As part of their Cultures class, 6th graders participated in The Compliments Project. Each student had a chance to sit in the "hot seat" with their back facing the board while their classmates filled the board with nice comments about them.
Last week, the middle school students had fun participating in some of the FFA week activities including Human Foosball!

Yesterday, the 4K class started learning about positional words. They practiced by making structures out of large Duplo blocks and having their Lego character be inside it, outside of it, behind it, etc...
Gene Moran of rural Soldiers Grove survived a four mile fall into a treetop in Germany when his plane was shot down during World War II. Join us in the La Farge School gym when local author John Armbruster discusses his account of this remarkable story as told in his book Tailspin.
